The Best of The Balm - RY.COM.AU Haul with EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT!

March 11, 2017

The Balm is no doubt one of the most underrated makeup brands on the market. So far in my testings of the brand have I found a product from them that I don't like, in particular I am partial to their power offerings like blushes, highlighters and eyeshadows.
I recently collaborated with RY.com.au who offered to send me out some goodies of my choice by the brand and I couldn't wait to get my hands on some new products I haven't tried before by The Balm. If you want to see what goodies I picked up from RY, keep reading.

First up is the gorgeous Meet Matt(e) Trimony eyeshadow palette. I think this is the second version of their popular Meet Matt(e) eyeshadow palette and I chose this one over the first as the colours were definitely more up my alley with warmer browns and even some pink and burgundy. I am completely obsessed with this palette. With all matte shades, this is wonderful for a super quick everyday eye before work. The majority of the colours swatch beautifully, richly pigmented and creamy with the exception being the black which is slightly more dry in texture than the other shades.

I obviously love their eyeshadows, so I picked up their original eyeshadow palette Nude Tude which contains 12 versatile and solid neutral eyeshadow shades. The formula is the same as other eyeshadow palettes I've owned from them, feeling super creamy and swatching beautifully. I haven't reached for this too much since I received it, but I know it will definitely be a regular eyeshadow choice for me in the future.

The last thing I wanted to try out from The Balm was the Meet Matt(e) Hughes 6 Mini Long-Lasting Liquid Lipsticks collection. I hadn't tried out their liquid lipstick formula before but had swatched them in store so I was super keen to give these a go. The formula of these are more moussey than other liquid lipstick formulas, however, they provided full pigment, didn't emphasise any dry sections and lasted a decent length of time. However, the one drawback I can see with this little collection is the inclusion of 3 nudey pink shades that look extreeeeemely similar to one another. I would have loved it even more had this included a little bit more variety in the shade selection.
