August Beauty Favourites 2014

September 01, 2014

Okay, guys... is anyone else feeling like these months are flying by? As I'm writing this it is the 1st of September, literally only four months until we are in 2015! This month I feel like I haven't been experimenting as much with my makeup, stressed with uni and feeling like I'm lacking in time more often than not has seen me take a bit more of a relaxed makeup feel!

Let's jump straight into!

Rexona Clinical Protection anti-perspirant deodorent: Okay, not like we all wanna talk about this but damn, gurl... I suffer from some pretty stanky pitts at times especially after gym or work. I've tried so many different types of deodorants including sprays and roll on, but I never really saw any difference. But this... this is a game changer, a life saver, a product sent from the heavens. I can apply this early in the morning, go about my day including gym and a full day at work and at the end of the day smell myself and still have the scent of the deodorant lingering and no ounce of my own stank! If you have trouble with finding a decent deodorant, I recommend this baby wholeheartedly.

Weleda IRIS Moisture Balancing Hydrating masque*: To be honest, I never really knew that you could purchase masques that were for hydrating purposes until I saw the one by Glamglow. Anyways, I received this in my mail box at the beginning of Winter and didn't really think too much of it... honestly, I thought it was a hair masque! I got sick multiple times in the last month and because of it my skin went a bit crazy and was unusually dry in places and yuck. Anyway, in steps this little one. It basically feels like a runnier, jelly type moisturiser and you just lather it all over your face and wait a bit. I felt it really helped in giving my skin a little bit more hydration! Impressed.

Linden Leaves Clay-Cleansing masque*: Another masque, I know. Because my skin was acting up I tried so many different ones to help it! This one is specifically targeted for oily skin (mwa) and to help unclog the pollution trapped in the skin. I find this to be very gentle on the skin but still affective. I feel I can noticeably see a difference in the size of my pores!

Maybelline Color Elixir lipglosses: I'm a bit slow to the bandwagon, but honestly... I've been choosing these glosses each time I do my makeup since I purchased them! They feel amazing on the lips and have phenomenal pigmentation for a "gloss"! Maybelline... you have made a homerun!

MAC Heroine: I don't know how it took me so long to purchase this bad boy, especially because I've been having such a love affair with purple toned lipsticks! The formula of this is incredible! It's a matte finish and lasts literally forever on my lips. Phenomenal!

Chi Chi Fabulous and Flawless foundation: I purchased this after hearing so many good things about it from the likes of Shaaanxo and I honestly really like it. It doesn't last a supppper long time on me even if I powder, however when it is on me it does really smooth out and make me look flawless! Would you guys like a thorough review of this foundation? Lemme know!

Benefit Gimme Brow: Another product I'm slow about purchasing! I was a bit skeptical because of the $32 AUD price tag for such a small little product, but yep. It's good. I have recently become extremely obsessed about my brows and this just feeds my obsession. I like to really go hard with this at the beginning of my brows because they are the sparsest of areas and the little fibres inside really help to thicken them up! A+

MAC MSF: I remember a couple years ago, this was the be all end all powder for youtubers. At the time, I was not going to purchase some hella expensive powder, crazy! Anyways... fast forward like three years and now I own it and yep, I've been using it every time I've done my makeup! This looks amazing on my skin and smoothes out any pores I've got going on. Looks amazing. I wanted to pick this up before they all changed to the new packaging as well haha!

Luminoso, Laguna, Brulee

Milani Luminoso: A cult favourite, and easy to see why. Looks glowy on the skin without a whole bunch of shimmer and gives a subtle coloured flush to give a really natural, healthy vibe. In love with the formula of all of these Milani blushers!

NARS Laguna bronzer: I reaaaaallly like this bronzer. It isn't too dark on my pale skin and looks so natural! I don' know what else to say about it except that it is perfect!

Wet n Wild Brulee eyeshadow: I picked this up after I saw the lovely Irina from The Beauty Vault continuously talk about this as being the perfect eyebrow highlight colour. It is honestly amazing. The quality of Wet n Wild eyeshadow is ridiculous for the price and this one is so smooth, so creamy and pigmented to the nines. I use this pretty much everyday as my brow bone highlight and it looks so natural yet really lifts my face. So good. Cannot recommend enough!
