BRAND NEW: Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer

Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer
I was super lucky to have received the entire collection of the brand new Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealers by Becca Cosmetics and thought I would do a review post and swatches to help you choose your perfect shade. Keep reading if you want to find out my thoughts on the new concealers!

These concealers are an extremely water based formula (32%!) which means they are incredibly easy to blend out. I haven't experienced anything quite like it! I can apply my usual amount and even when using a brush, it blends out beautifully in a couple of dabs. It is an absolutely seamless blend and looks super natural on the skin. I find the coverage of these concealers to be light to medium. Whilst this concealer is meant for use all over the face, I definitely think the coverage would only be suitable for under the eyes.

I always set my concealer, but I haven't noticed any creasing or build-up throughout the days so I definitely am enjoying that!

I adore the packaging. It is very similar to the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, a sleek plastic tube with a gorgeous bronze cap. Within the tube, Becca are using an interesting "dewdrop" applicator which is meant to hug the curves of your face nicely and is easy to target trouble spots. I don't find it too much different to a regular doefoot applicator, so can't really comment on whether it lives up to these claims.

Within the collection there is a total of 9 shades going from extremely light (actually suits my skintone!) to extremely deep (perfect as a liquid bronzer).

Porcelain
Very fair with slight pink undertones

Fair
Fair with neutral undertones

Light
Light with neutral undertones

Beige
Light/medium with neutral undertones

Medium
Medium with neutral undertones

Tan
Medium/tan with neutral undertones

Warm Honey
Medium/deep with neutral undertones

Dark Golden
Deep with neutral/golden undertones

Deep Bronze
Deepest with neutral/golden undertones

Personally for me, my favourites are the Fair shade for under-eye correcting, Tan for light bronzing and Dark Golden for an intense bronze glow.

Final Thoughts:
If you are after a full-coverage concealer, I don't think this is the best choice for you. I fortunately, have very little discolouration under my eyes so this does a beautiful job of evening and brightening. I love the way this so easily blends into the skin so it looks extremely natural and I love the natural finish.

These retail for $30 USD on the Sephora website and each tube has a total weight of 0.18 oz.
Are you going to pick this concealer up?

Til next time...

  1. These concealers look so nice, I really want to try the foundation but I don't think it would be suited to my skin type. But I think these would fit perfectly!! Great post Jacquelyn!!

    1. The foundation definitely doesn't work well with my oily skin. Tends to just slide off!
