September 2016 Favourites

October 06, 2016

Another month has come and gone, and we're well and truly into October! The past month I've been really focusing my time on perfecting my skincare routine and giving myself some much needed TLC. If you want to see what I've been obsessed with in September, then keep reading!

September 2016 Beauty Favourites

Dermalogica Sheer Mist *
I've found that the last couple months, my skin has just been so dry and tight. I enjoy mists because they are fuss-free and quick for everyday use. This Dermalogica mist in particular, is designed to help soothe and hydrate the skin, whilst also helping to relieve any sensitivity and reduce redness. Perfect for morning and night, I spritz way too much of this all over my face before I moisturise.

Skinny Tan 7-Day Tanner*
This is the first product I have ever used to actually self-tan myself. I've used the typical gradual tanners, but I've never taken the plunge into an actual self-tan cream or mousse. This is a thick cream that was super easy to use, leaving no streaks or patches. I was honestly so suprised at how easy this was to apply, considering I had never done anything like it before. I also enjoyed that this didn't leave me too sticky for long afterwards. A+ in my books!

Skinstitut*
Okay, I don't want to delve too deep here because I'm going to be writing up a whole review dedicated to these products, but let's just say I'm in love. I've been using their L-Lactic Cleanser, Glycolic Scrub 14%, Moisture Defence Oily Skin and Even Blend Serum as the main features of my daily skincare routine. My skin has NEVER been in such good condition. I have been so blown away by the quality of my skin since I switched over! My acne on my chin has completely disappeared and my skin is so smooth and soft, I'm astonished. Ask anyone that has seen me this month, I am obsessed with my skin and the way it looks. I'm so glad I've found this routine just in time for my wedding!

Dove Daily Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner*
If you've seen my Instagram account, you know that I can't stop singing praises for these babies and I totally legit. These make my hair feel so soft and they are so affordable, I would much rather choose these over salon grade haircare! Impressed.

Palmer's Coconut Oil Hand Cream*
I love Coconut Oil and I love Palmer's products, so together - this is a match-made in Heaven! I've been keeping this hand cream next to me at all times as it such a deeply nourishing and rich hand cream, but without leaving my hands feeling gross afterwards. This soaks in super fast and I adore the coconut tropical scent it has!

September 2016 Beauty Favourites

Morphe 35O
If you read my full not-so-positive review (with swatches of all the colours) here, you might be wondering why I've included the Morphe 35O in my September favourites. The shadows aren't all great, but I've been reaching for this palette nearly everyday since I received it. The colours are gorgeous and I definitely have been using my "favourites" of the palette rather than the ones I dislike. I feel like even though I wasn't blown away by the palette, it should definitely have a mention in my monthly favourites because I really have been reaching for it everyday.

Calvin Klein CK One Gold*
This perfume has quickly risen to the top of my favourite scents since it arrived in my mail box. I love the warm scent and it is definitely a scent that I feel matches me and my personality. If you want to read my full review on this perfume, click here!

Poni Cosmetics Mane Stain - #5 Thoroughbred*
I live for brow pomades and this has quickly become my everyday staple. The colour of this is perfect for my black eyebrows, without being too warm, too dark or too grey. The formular is also fantastic! It is a cream consistency, that can be built up or sheered out depending on how bold you want them to go. This is crazy long-lasting and I actually struggle some afternoons trying to take it off!

Poni Cosmetics Brow Pop*
I usually find these highlighting pencils super stiff and hard to work with, but I was so impressed with the Poni version. One side is an extremely light, cream shade - perfect for emphasizing the brow bone, and the other side is a skintone shade - used for cleaning up the upper side of the brow and neatening. I really enjoy the creaminess of this pencil and I love the colours they chose to include as they are actually light enough for me to use! #palegirlsunite

Maybelline Master Fix Setting Spray*
YES! YES! YESSSS! A drugstore setting spray that actually works! What is this sorcery?! I received this a couple months ago at a Maybelline event and have been putting it through its paces ever since. I have oily skin and I think this really works at locking everything in. If you are in the market for a new setting spray, but don't want to sell your kidney for a Urban Decay one, you might be surprised at this little bargain!

Laura Mercier Indiscretion
How can you go wrong with such a gorgeous embossing on the powder? Whilst it doesn't look very dark in the pan, this is actually quite a bronzey gold highlight - much deeper than MAC Soft & Gentle. I really love that it doesn't have too many chunky glitters through it and that the colour is so rich. Even though I do have pale skin, I find this works well as a highlight using a lighthand or even as a blush topper to make your cheeks really pop.

Uncle Jack Rose Gold + Black*
I haven't mentioned this in anything as of yet, but I thought it should be included as it definitely is one of my favourite pieces of accessories for any outfit. This goes with so many outfits and I love the rose gold details on the face to give it a feminine look and feel. This watch is so sleek and chic it can be paired with a casual everyday outfit or jazzed up for something more sophisticated. In love and a regular feature on my wrist.

Well that is all my monthly favourites for the month of September! Let me know in the comments below what some of yours are!

Till next time...

  3. OMG how good is that Maybelline Setting Spray!?!? I have already bought a backup. I used to be obsessed with the Skindinavia and Urban Decay ones but I did a half & half face test and the Maybelline was just as good. Great favourite picks :)
