Shu Uemura Tokyo Doll Eye and Cheek Palette
I recently received this wonderful new limited edition eyeshadow and blush palette by Shu Uemura. The sleek, compact palette Tokyo Doll Eye and Cheek Palette houses 8 eyeshadows and 2 blushes. Interested? I was too! Keep reading to see some swatches and hear my thoughts!

Shu Uemura Tokyo Doll Eye and Cheek Palette

The first row of eyeshadows contains a deep champagne/gold shade, a rich matte chocolate brown, a dark sparkly purple mauve and a matte black with silver glitters.
The second row contains a light, sparkly pink, a chunky light gold, a shimmer white with yellow gold reflects and a chunky silver.

All the shadows feel incredibly smooth and creamy. I find no troubles in blending out any of the shadows. I do struggle to get pigmentation from some of the shades, however, strangely enough, the singular matte brown shade is the most pigmented and creamy in texture. I love the shade choices in the palette, keeping with a neutral theme but adding a bit of glamour. I do wish they would include a matte transition colour in the mix, as the only matte shade in the palette is a little too rich and deep to be blended everywhere.

I adore the blushes in the palette. I am such a sucker for blushes, so of course, these are the standout for me. Both blushes are matte and as a result, I've actually been using these as a transition shade for my eyeshadow looks. The first shade is a bright matte peach/orange and the second a bright bubblegum pink shade. Both blushes are pigmented and creamy and I find they add a youthful glow and radiance to the skin. I am extremely glad they didn't include glittery blushes, because I personally prefer to add my own highlight where I want to!

Are you planning on picking up the Shu Uemura Tokyo Doll Eye and Cheek Palette? It is definitely the perfect travel companion! You can pick yours up from David Jones for $128.
